Installation is quick and easy, simply drop the pan into your fire feature’s opening, where it will rest against a built-in or added ledge. This leaves an empty space below, which greatly improves air flow and is especially helpful for propane-fueled fires. The pan also eliminates the need for fillers like sand or lava rock.

Planning & Design

For safe and proper installation, follow the guidelines below:

• Only use in outdoor approved locations
• Install proper size gas line based on the BTU’s of the appliance
• Maintain proper clearances: 48” from the sides surrounding the fire pit
• Not approved for use under a ceiling or overhang
• Enclosure must incorporate two air vents (minimum of 18” square inches on each side of the pit)

Calculate the Amount of Fire Glass Needed

We provide a calculator for circular or rounded fire pits to determine the amount of fire glass you will need. The formula is Diameter X Diameter X Depth, divided by 24 = pounds of fire glass needed.
