When using liquid propane or any other combustible gas for outdoor fire or fire pit, the Air Mixer is essential. Without air, the liquid propane cannot burn effectively, so the Air Mixer is used to mix the liquid propane with the air in order to create a well-burning fire. Our Stanbroil Air Mixer offers a range of numerical values for BTUs to choose from, and I believe it will greatly improve the burning of the fire. All fittings feature 1/2 inch NPT male threads, with 1/2" Female or Male (with included adapter) NPT on the Burner Side and 1/2" Male NPT on the Incoming Side. It is rated for a maximum of 150,000 BTUs and is designed for use with propane (LP) only, effectively improving propane burn efficiency by reducing soot through mixing air with the incoming LP gas. The result is a higher quality flame appearance.
