Fire Pit Gas Burner Spark Ignition Kit with Push Button Igniter and Shut-Off Valve

The Stanbroil Fire Pit Gas Burner Spark Ignition Kit is designed to transform your manual ignition fire pit, fireplace, or gas burner into an easy-to-start push-button ignition system. This battery-operated igniter is able to create a spark that will ignite the gas when the button is depressed. One of the most important aspects of a successful installation is ensuring a solid ground for the igniter bracket, which must be securely screwed directly to the burner pan. It is also essential to keep the igniter area relatively clear of any embers, rocks, or fire glass.

To facilitate easier ignition, it is recommended to create a void around the igniter by using a screen. This void will fill with gas and ignite much more easily compared to an igniter that is covered in fire glass. The included stainless steel faceplate provides a professional mounting solution for both the push button and the chrome keyed shut-off ball valve.

When installing the kit, it is important to run both wires up through the pan from the bottom using any pre-existing hole. The sparker should be mounted as close as possible to one of the outer gas holes, and a good ground can be achieved by sandwiching one wire between the pan and the bracket. The other ends of the wires should be connected to the push button block. After inserting the battery, simply push the button to initiate the ignition process.

The dimensions of the face plate are 7" in length by 3 13/16" in height, while the base plate shares the same dimensions. The kit contains a chrome ball valve with a 3” chrome key, a spark ignitor with leads and ground wire, and a stainless steel mounting plate. The ball valve included in the kit is 1/2" female NPT*1/2" female NPT, and two 3/8" male flared x 1/2" NPT fittings are also included for added convenience. Easy to install and perfect for DIY gas fire pits, this kit requires a single AAA battery (not included).
